What to Expect

What Time Do Services Start?

Our main worship service begins at 10:30 am on Sundays. We offer Sunday school for adults and children grades pre-k to 5th at 9:00 am. Coffee and fellowship at 10:00 am before the main service. Our Wednesday midweek service begins at 6:00 pm with a potluck dinner and service beginning at 6:30 pm.

What Happens In A Service?

When you come in, feel free to grab a hot cup of coffee and bring it right on into our sanctuary. Our service opens with a greeting followed by approximately 30 minutes of praise and worship. We then receive tithes and offerings, announce upcoming events, and dismiss children to their classes. The message is taught right from the truth of the Word of God, relevant to your life and meant to challenge & equip you to walk out your salvation & relationship with God. Our services are a little longer than 90 minutes. Not so long that you need to pack a lunch, but long enough to make it worth getting out of bed in the morning.

What Do I Wear?

First off, come as you are. There are some people who dress up, but many go more business casual, and still, others wear jeans and t-shirts. Some people bring their Bibles – we like that book. We’re much more interested in the type of person you are on the inside than what you look like on the outside. We’d like to meet the real you.

How are First Time Guests Treated?

Two things excite us on a Sunday morning: seeing God do big things in the lives of people, and connecting with each other. You can expect to be warmly greeted and treated with respect. You’ll likely be offered a handshake or two and we’ll make ourselves available for any questions you might have during a post-service fellowship. We would like to have the opportunity to get to know you better, pray with you, and keep you up to date with what’s happening at Calvary. If you’re a first time guest please fill out a simple information card and place it in the offering bucket.

What is Your Children’s Ministry Like?

Our program is called Kingdom Kids and it serves pre-k to youth. Kingdom Kids ministry is offered during Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, and Midweek Service. See our Kingdom Kids page for more details.

What are Your Praise and Worship Like?

At Calvary, we have live praise and worship every Sunday morning. We believe that praise and worship is our gift to God, we passionately express that with singing, clapping, and raising our hands. We sing contemporary songs as well as timeless hymns and as part of our worship, about once a month we share in communion and weekly share in tithes and offerings. Our vision of worship is not limited to music and singing. We believe that all of our gifts, talents, and lives are given to glorify God and to bless the community.
