Train Your Brain to Reign – Part 6

Ephesians 2:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Definition: “created” – This word means to form, shape, and completely change or transform someone. It lets us know that there is a “creative” work constantly forming, and shaping us to what we are becoming and where we are going.

Note: The ideal walk is to allow the Lord to be the sole “workman” as to what is being “created” in us for it will always produce the proper “good works” or outcome and purpose. The problem many are faced with is that we don’t bother to think about what is actually creating who we are! If you are constantly being shaped by the negative events around you and the negative people around you than “YOU ARE CREATING A MESS!” If you do not control what shapes your thoughts, feelings, and reactions in any given situation, how do you intend to direct where that situation will take you? If you are unable to determine what and who will form and fashion your responses to difficult or confusing times, you have left yourself to the mercy of what you’re wrestling with! You’ve just written your guarantee to lose the match! If this trend continues in your life you will be driven in every direction without any certainty of the outcome! You will be “created within” as an unstable person and you will create instability in all your situations of life!

Scripture: James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

What must you look at to find the answer to this?

Question: You must ask yourself, “Do situations or the God within create my realities?” – As we have said in many different ways during this study – “Situations can direct in you your responses and actions or you can direct the situation as to the final response and action that it will take for you!” The Lord has designed you to be in CONTROL not to be CONTROLLED! What has worked its creative power in you is evidenced by what controls you!
Question: Ask yourself, “When things seem to be out of control all around me, do I lose control within me?” “Do my difficulties control my responses?” “Do I live as a VICTIM to my Environment?”

Note: There is a Vital Element that you must understand in dealing with those events that “seem” to be out of control in your life!

The Vital Element

When the situation at the present time appears to be out of control, than you must learn to take yourself out of the present and into the future! THE PRESENT IMPOSSIBILITIES CANNOT CONTROL YOU IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN THE PRESENT! The truth is – If you focus yourself on the desired outcome you believe God for, you will direct that situation to your desired outcome! This is the how the POWER OF FAITH CREATES!
Scripture: Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Note: In Genesis 1:1-2 -The Scripture declares that God created the heavens and the earth beginning with what was in utter emptiness and chaos for that is the meaning of the words, “the earth was without form and void.” He then spoke in the next verse saying, “Let there be light” and there was light!
Question: What was he doing? The Answer – He did not allow the present “empty and chaotic” condition he faced to create his inner responses! He created the final outcome by taking himself out of the present of what was seen and into the future of what HE SAW! Once he established what he wanted to see come out of this “chaos” he began to create it by the POWER OF WHAT HE BELIEVED! He believed there was light in the darkness so he led the present darkness to become the light that he determined!
Question: What did you think about what I just said? You may have thought, “Well that’s God, and I’m not God!” Well you’re not, but YOU ARE DESIGNED TO OVERCOME THE SAME IMPOSSIBILITIES HE DOES BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN YOU THE SAME ABILITY HE HAS! That ABILITY is called FAITH! What you choose to believe!
Note: When Christ thinks of your ability to overcome the biggest obstacles and situations of your life, he says – “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to the MOUNTAIN, Remove to another place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.”

Matthew 17:20. Notice the declaration,

“Nothing shall be impossible to you!”

The only obstacle he makes reference to is not the mountain you’re faced with, it is your response to the mountain you’re facing! He wants you to think about what was created in you as a result of standing before that mountain! THE ONLY OBSTACLE TO A POSITIVE OUTCOME IS THE NEGATIVE CREATED IN YOU! Jesus began these words by saying, “Because of your unbelief.” He said that because his own followers had a question, “Why couldn’t we?” – when faced with a challenge in their own life! The Essence of the truth in this section can be defined and realized like this:

a) Situations – They are only Momentary – Nothing lasts forever, but what they may create in you will last forever! You will carry it into your next event of life! If you are going to “Train Your Brain to Reign” you must learn to change what you believe about the moment. Then you must settle what you will believe and determine for the future outcome of what you are faced with! Your “belief system” must not be created by the present reality. Your belief system must be created by the future reality that you have determined between you and the Lord!
b) God – He is Eternal – What he declares does last forever! He is UNCHANGEABLE! He will not change his requirements for FAITH! Therefore – Your “belief system” must be created by His Eternal Reality! If you truly believe he is “The Alpha and Omega” the Beginning and the End, than you will not fear when troubles BEGIN and you will not question whether there will be Victory in the END!
