Fellowship. Not just for rings.
Acts 2:42 AMP
They were continually and faithfully devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles, and to fellowship, to eating meals together and to prayers.
There are some words Christians have that few other groups have. Fellowship is one of them. It’s important. I like reading about the first Church in the book of Acts. They inspire me. Things were different in their movement than in mine. Different is an understatement. These people were the founders.
When I look at the verse I smile. They planted through being together. Fellowship is being together on purpose. They did it everyday. I have a long way to go to be like them.
In our Church we take a cue from them and see Acts 2:42 as the four core functions of a Church. These four things: prayer, doctrine, fellowship and food have given us some needed glue as a Church. I want to encourage you to do fellowship. Be intentional with your Church and the people in it. Make a connection.
I’m Keith and I’m the Pastor at Calvary in Ely. I care for you and want to see you be happy in your Church. I’m praying for you.
